We met Nicole and Matt just after the new year of 2015. We were really taken back by how kind and genuine they were. You could see the excitement in their eyes as they couldn't wait for their big day. Right away, we began planning for an engagement session in the middle of Iowa’s cold winter. Nicole and Matt are the biggest Vikings fans we have ever had the opportunity to meet. Instantly, we knew this had to be part of their engagement session.
The day came, it was a nice 30 degree day, you've got to love Iowa weather! We began at Charlie’s Restaurant, where Matt and Nicole went on their first date. Kevin Wanninger, the restaurant manager, was amazing to work with and very accommodating. After sharing some delicious cake like it was their first date, we moved outdoors for a couple quick shots in the blustery cold. We ended the fun session indoors at our studio. We asked them to bring their Viking gear that they typically wear as season ticket holders (that's awesome!). We could truly tell how passionately they were about their team and we were able to get some awesome photos.
Fast forward to 3 months later and the big day had arrived. Nicole and Matt were both nervous, but didn’t let that hold back their bubbly, fun personalities. We not only had the chance to spend the most important day of their lives with them, but were able to document their love and excitement as they became Mr. and Mrs. We won’t ramble anymore about how incredibly genuine these two are and how much fun they were to work with. We just want to say thank you Nicole and Matt for allowing us to be a part of your big day last year by reflecting on all of the fun we had.
